From Jersey to Alaska - Elopement in B+W

This couple was all about fun.  They trekked from New Jersey to elope in Alaska and share an adventurous honeymoon together.  The Bride said they weren't the "big" wedding type and wanted more of an experience shared together than an enormous soiree.  Sara's theme for their day was "nothin' fancy, just love" and that's definitely how the day felt!  Although, we have to admit that this couple is definitely dapper.  All of their details were lovely and elegant and they put thought into making the day meaningful.  One of the perks of our job is getting to know our couples over the course of the planning process and these two came to feel like friends.  The moments in the hotel when they were getting ready before the ceremony had this amazingly alive feeling energy.  These two have a magnetic kind of love that rubs off on everyone around them.  We selfishly hope they will come back to Alaska and visit us in the future.  Congratulations Sara & Matt!  We wish you many many years of happiness and fun adventures together!

This is How Cowboys and Cowgirls Elope in Alaska!

Kyla and Tom are not only sweet as pie, but an inspiring couple!  They own a 300 acre ranch in Montana and are a real life, present day, cowboy and cowgirl.  When they flew into Anchorage we met the day before their elopement and immediately we felt like they were old friends.  They decided to elope because they work hard from sun up to sun down.  They work seven days a week running their ranch complete with cattle, pigs, horses and a plethora of different birds.  Eloping was the perfect fit for them as they wanted a chance to get away and spend a few relaxing days in the mountains celebrating their marriage.  Kyla stayed true to her style with jeans, a button up flannel and hikers.  And Tom received a hand made engraved belt buckle instead of the traditional wedding band.  We had so much fun on this one and enjoyed the authenticity!  The day was moody, the glacier massive and their love and excitement lit a spark to the entire atmosphere.  Congratulations Tom and Kyla!
