This day turned out so beautifully that it almost doesn’t need words or description. Eloping in Alaska is definitely for the adventurous at heart couples who aren’t afraid of any kind of weather! The entire morning before their wedding ceremony it was pouring down rain. Pouring. When I called Daniella to discuss the weather I remember her calmly saying “I don’t care where we go or if it’s raining, I’m just happy that I’ll be marrying Michael.” And wouldn’t you know it, the clouds cleared and we had the most fantastic moody Alaskan weather (with almost no rain!) for the entire afternoon. And let’s just state for the record, weather like this is perfect! A quiet riverside ceremony, an enchanted forest, a bridal cape (my FAVORITE), and two people in love made this Alaskan elopement something all of us will remember for a lifetime. Cheers to these two kind, caring and wonderful souls! We wish you a life full of many more adventures!
Best day ever. Best day ever. Best day ever. I repeat that every time we get to marry a couple on a glacier! This day wasn’t without drama, however. The Alaskan weather almost put a hitch in our plans. Mother nature pulled through at the last moment and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful evening spent exploring from the air and climbing on ice and mountaintops. Kayla and Dalton had their hearts set on being on a glacier when they said their “I Dos” to one another. We had an intense few hours of the waiting game, a long drive out to the lodge and just as we arrived the clouds broke free and our pilots let us know we were going to go out. There was definitely a giant sigh of relief heard and felt by everyone. The best part about it was that it ended up being one of the most gorgeous weather days we had all summer! This day was absolutely full of adventure and I will never forget how everything seemed to work out perfectly for this couple. I would say it’s a very clear sign that it’s meant to be. Congratulations Kayla and Dalton and thank you for choosing us to be a part of something so wonderful!
