Best day ever. Best day ever. Best day ever. I repeat that every time we get to marry a couple on a glacier! This day wasn’t without drama, however. The Alaskan weather almost put a hitch in our plans. Mother nature pulled through at the last moment and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful evening spent exploring from the air and climbing on ice and mountaintops. Kayla and Dalton had their hearts set on being on a glacier when they said their “I Dos” to one another. We had an intense few hours of the waiting game, a long drive out to the lodge and just as we arrived the clouds broke free and our pilots let us know we were going to go out. There was definitely a giant sigh of relief heard and felt by everyone. The best part about it was that it ended up being one of the most gorgeous weather days we had all summer! This day was absolutely full of adventure and I will never forget how everything seemed to work out perfectly for this couple. I would say it’s a very clear sign that it’s meant to be. Congratulations Kayla and Dalton and thank you for choosing us to be a part of something so wonderful!
This couple, and their families, were so much absolute fun! It is such a joy to be around folks who genuinely love each other. There are so many details that made this day wonderful. The feeling of enjoyment and laughter in the morning while everyone was getting ready. Hearing the stories of the Bride and Groom’s journey to their wedding day as told through the lens of their loved ones. The couples ADORABLE baby girl playing dress up with all of their jewelry. The Groom surprising his Bride in formal wear (as apparently the joke was that he would be wearing a baseball cap and jeans as he hates dressing up). These two families got along beautifully, and it was apparent that everyone were cheering on this couple and couldn’t be happier for them to get married. It rained. A lot. But that didn’t deter any of us from fully embracing the day and enjoying this elopement. Before the ceremony we spent a few minutes hiking to get above the fog and clouds, only to have it roll in while they were saying their vows. Glass half full is that their backdrop ended up being just as amazing! Congratulations to this beautiful couple and I wish you many more years of happiness!
