This couple, and their families, were so much absolute fun! It is such a joy to be around folks who genuinely love each other. There are so many details that made this day wonderful. The feeling of enjoyment and laughter in the morning while everyone was getting ready. Hearing the stories of the Bride and Groom’s journey to their wedding day as told through the lens of their loved ones. The couples ADORABLE baby girl playing dress up with all of their jewelry. The Groom surprising his Bride in formal wear (as apparently the joke was that he would be wearing a baseball cap and jeans as he hates dressing up). These two families got along beautifully, and it was apparent that everyone were cheering on this couple and couldn’t be happier for them to get married. It rained. A lot. But that didn’t deter any of us from fully embracing the day and enjoying this elopement. Before the ceremony we spent a few minutes hiking to get above the fog and clouds, only to have it roll in while they were saying their vows. Glass half full is that their backdrop ended up being just as amazing! Congratulations to this beautiful couple and I wish you many more years of happiness!
Allie, Josh and Mia (quite possibly the cutest baby on earth) were so much fun to work with! The couple met while on safari in Africa. Allie said that they were the only two single folks on their two month trek, so naturally they became friends. Living in different parts of Australia they stayed pen pals over the next year and eventually realized they were in love and could not be apart from one another. Mia made her appearance into the world and they decided to secretly elope on a glacier in Alaska not long afterwards! Their elopement day was gorgeous and we had so much fun exploring Alaska. We are so blessed to be a part of these moments and never take it for granted. Congratulations to this extremely adventurous couple on their Alaskan adventure elopement! Many years of happiness and more adventures are in their future certainly!
Autumn and Zach. These two hold a special place in my heart. Theirs was the first wedding of our 2018 season and they were able to come in the day before they eloped. We sat down for coffee, chatted about life, their love story and all of the excitement that would envelop the next day. We connected with this couple deeply, and I was so happy to be able to be a part of this very very special wedding day for these two. This was, hands down, the PERFECT day for a glacier elopement! Moody weather, the rain cleared just as we were leaving Anchorage, and we had the best time exploring the most beautiful parts of Alaska together.
I have to say our glacier elopements hold a special place in our hearts because the experience is something so unique and adventurous that each one is as unforgettable as the next. Nature is vast and all consuming. Combining those feelings with the amazing power of love between two people is hard to describe unless you've done it. I always joke with my couples that everyday I get to fly and stand on a glacier is the best day of my life! Congratulations to you Autumn and Zack. Thank you for letting us be a part of such an exciting adventure and we hope you come back to visit us soon!
